Job summary

NCS Australia is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer specialized in AI and Conversational Systems to join our Sydney-based engineering team. The role focuses on designing, building, and operating production-grade conversational interfaces and AI features, bridging Dialogflow CX and Vertex AI with React and backend services.

You will work across real-time frontend development, scalable backend/API integration, and robust AI evaluation, collaborating with product, AI architects, and platform

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Dialogflow CX and Vertex AI for AI features.
• Proven ability to build production-grade conversational interfaces.
• Strong frontend/backend skills across React, Node.js/TypeScript and Java.

Responsibilities

• Conversational & Generative AI Development: design and build intelligent flows with Dialogflow CX, Vertex AI, AgentStudio.
• Real-Time AI Frontend Engineering: develop high-performance UIs using React, Vite, Tailwind CSS, WebSockets.
• Backend & API Integration: build scalable backend services (Node.js/TypeScript, Java, Apigee).
• AI Quality & Testing Engineering: implement evaluation, testing, monitoring for AI features (latency, guardrails).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with product managers, AI architects, UX designers, platform engineers.
• Production AI Experience: build and operate conversational/generative AI features in live prod environments.
• Conversational & LLM Platforms: experience with Dialogflow CX and major LLM/ML platforms like Vertex AI.
• Full Stack Core Stack: deep production experience across React, Node.js/TypeScript, and Java with real-time protocols.
