Daikin Australia is seeking a Senior Design Engineer – AHU to lead end-to-end R&D AHU product development from concept to delivery. You will guide cross-functional teams across manufacturing, QA, and purchasing, leveraging Gemba insights to drive market-aligned design decisions.

The role requires a strong engineering background, hands-on design experience, and the ability to collaborate with global affiliates. On-site work with competitive salary and bonus opportunities is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of experience leading Project Management and Product Development initiatives.
• Demonstrated background in AHU product design and Air Conditioning design.
• Mandatory experience with coil, fan, and motor selection software.
• Experience with sheet metal design is highly regarded.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end R&D AHU product development projects from requirements to delivery with clear timelines and milestones.
• Provide technical guidance to Manufacturing, resolving design, application, and production issues.
• Evaluate design modifications with cost-effective, compliant AHU solutions, using selection software.
• Collaborate with internal teams and international affiliates to drive market-aligned product designs.
