Job summary

EY in Sydney is seeking a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join the General Insurance Actuarial Consulting team. You’ll work with insurers, health insurers and government agencies, solving complex business challenges through transformation projects, pricing reviews, valuations and due diligence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or related field.
• Pursuing FIAA or completed FIAA, with 1–4 years actuarial experience.
• Proficiency in Excel and programming tools (SAS, R, Python).
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement actuarial models and methodologies.
• Analyse data to uncover insights for decision-making.
• Work across pricing, valuation, risk management, and appointed actuary work.
• Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the Financial Services practice.
