EY is seeking an experienced Manager to provide strategic actuarial consulting across the general insurance sector in Sydney. You will manage high-profile projects, deliver insights, and help clients navigate uncertainty while mentoring junior staff.

The role spans long-tail injury schemes, workers compensation, motor accident/CTP, and collaboration across EY’s financial services practice. Flexibility and a dynamic, technology-driven environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field.
• Completed or progressing towards FIAA or similar.
• 7+ years in an actuarial role including workers comp or motor injury.

Responsibilities

• Forge trusted client relationships across public and private sectors.
• Stay ahead of industry developments and regulatory changes.
• Develop and implement actuarial models and methodologies.
• Coach junior team members and foster learning.
• Lead process improvements and new analytical approaches.
• Engage in varied projects from pricing to liability valuation and appointed actuary work.
• Collaborate with EY Financial Services colleagues across strategy, tax, technology and risk.
