• Work across business and technology domains including claims, policy, underwriting, distribution, servicing, finance, data, AI and platform delivery
• Engage senior client stakeholders, bringing EY’s capabilities to client challenges
• Mentor and develop consultants, while contributing to business development through proposals and client materials

Senior Manager – Insurance Transformation

The opportunity

At EY, we’re helping insurers reshape the future of insurance through business and technology transformation. As a Senior Manager in Insurance Transformation, you’ll lead high-impact workstreams and teams across General Insurance and Life Insurance, helping clients modernise operating models, core platforms, digital capabilities, data, AI and delivery approaches.

We are looking for people across four areas: General Insurance business transformation, General Insurance technology transformation, Life Insurance business transformation and Life Insurance technology transformation. Depending on your background, you may bring deep operating model, process, claims, policy, distribution or customer experience expertise; or strong experience in core systems, architecture, integration, data, AI and platform delivery.

This role is suited to an experienced insurance transformation leader who can shape solutions, manage delivery, build trusted client relationships and develop teams in complex, regulated environments.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead defined workstreams or functional areas within large-scale insurance transformation programs, with accountability for scope, quality, timelines, dependencies, risks and measurable outcomes
• Shape future-state operating models, processes, customer journeys, technology capabilities and delivery roadmaps across General Insurance and Life Insurance
• Work across business and technology domains, including claims, policy, underwriting, distribution, servicing, finance, data, AI, core platforms, integration and platform delivery
• Engage senior client stakeholders across business, operations, technology, risk and transformation functions, bringing EY’s local, offshore and global insurance capabilities to client challenges
• Mentor and develop consultants and senior consultants, while contributing to business development through proposals, client materials and identifying new opportunities

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience in insurance transformation, gained in consulting, insurer, reinsurer, broker, platform vendor or system integrator environments
• Depth in at least one of the following areas: General Insurance business transformation, General Insurance technology transformation, Life Insurance business transformation or Life Insurance technology transformation
• For business-focused candidates: experience in operating model design, process improvement, claims or policy transformation, distribution, customer experience, cost transformation, regulatory change or transformation delivery
• For technology-focused candidates: experience with core insurance platforms, solution design, architecture, integration, data migration, digital workflow, cloud, analytics or AI-enabled transformation
• Proven ability to lead teams and workstreams in complex transformation programs, engage senior business and technology stakeholders, communicate clearly, and apply a commercial mindset to deliver measurable customer, efficiency, risk and growth outcomes
