Job summary

icare NSW in Sydney CBD is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will join a large workers compensation actuarial team delivering insights to support sustainable decision-making.

The role involves complex data analysis, modelling, and presenting findings to stakeholders, with mentoring responsibilities and flexible hybrid working arrangements. Ideal candidates will hold an actuarial degree and have general insurance experience, with progress toward actuarial

Qualifications

Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline.
Experience in actuarial analysis within general insurance.
Experience in workers compensation or related insurance portfolios is highly regarded.
Strong analytical and modelling skills with ability to interpret complex data.
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain technical concepts clearly.
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes on time.
Progress towards actuarial qualifications is looked upon favourably.

Responsibilities

Deliver actuarial insights to support financial and business decisions.
Perform complex data analysis, modelling and interpretation to identify trends and risks.
Contribute to key projects that enhance understanding of business performance.
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders clearly.
Monitor and report on business performance to drive continuous improvement.
Support development of junior team members through mentoring.
