You want to play a part in making NSW a better place to work, live and travel.

Your expertise in communication, problem-solving, empathy and conflict resolution are highly transferable and in-demand. Help us foster satisfaction and service experiences that transform lives of our community.

In this role, you'll:

Work as part of a team helping to enable active transport outcomes across transport planning, policy, design, development and infrastructure delivery. This role will see you support the integration of walking and cycling priorities into transport projects and by providing strategic advice and design inputs as well as contributing to policy integration, and building strong partnerships across government, councils and industry.

You will help lead and influence integrated active transport outcomes in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, working closely with planning, development, policy and delivery teams to embed active transport priorities into decision-making.

This role offers the opportunity to take initiative, work with a high degree of autonomy, and contribute to meaningful projects that shape walking and cycling outcomes across NSW, while being supported by a collaborative leadership team that is passionate about active transport.

Your active transport, transport planning, infrastructure design or project delivery knowledge and expertise, formed across transport, infrastructure, engineering, urban planning, government or related sectors, will see you successfully contribute to integrated transport outcomes, support investment prioritisation, and embed walking and cycling requirements into planning and delivery activities.

You’re recognised as a proactive and collaborative professional with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, able to build trusted relationships, influence outcomes, provide strategic advice and apply technical guidance. You must be experienced in active transport planning, design or delivery, stakeholder coordination, multi-modal integration, and the application of planning tools, standards or guidance with a focus on walking and cycling.

You enjoy working both independently and in a supportive team environment, as well as being highly collaborative and motivated by the opportunity to work alongside people who are passionate about delivering better active transport outcomes.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Economics, Geography, Environment, Urban Planning, Urban Design, or equivalent professional experience will be highly regarded.
