H.U. Partners is seeking an Accounting Manager to partner with Directors in delivering accounting and taxation services across a varied client portfolio in Adelaide. The role blends hands-on technical work with client engagement, team leadership and advisory responsibilities to enhance service delivery.

You will review financial statements and tax returns, mentor staff, manage workflows and contribute to business development while upholding high professional standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience within an Australian public practice accounting firm.
• CA or CPA qualification.
• Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation, accounting standards and business compliance.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns.
• Experience managing a portfolio of business clients.
• Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring or supervising accounting staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and confidence managing competing priorities.
• Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Office; experience with practice management software is highly regarded.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the delivery of accounting and taxation services for a diverse client portfolio.
• Review and oversee preparation of financial statements, tax returns, BAS and compliance obligations.
• Provide expert technical advice on accounting, taxation and business matters.
• Lead and mentor accountants and junior team members; review work and provide feedback.
• Manage client relationships, deliver proactive, commercially focused advice and identify new opportunities.
• Oversee workflow, deadlines, budgets and profitability of engagements.
• Collaborate with Directors to achieve operational objectives and drive process improvements.
