Job summary

Approach Consulting Pty in Adelaide is seeking a Tax Manager or Senior Manager to lead engagements for South Australian mid-market clients, working directly with tax partners and owning your own client relationships.

Day to day you’ll review tax computations and returns, support ATO reviews and audits, advise on transfer pricing and other tax matters, train junior staff, and collaborate with internal teams to maintain the highest professional standards.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree (or equivalent) and professional CPA/CA credential.
• Experience in Business Services or Advisory.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Team player with high professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Own client relationships and be the first call for clients.
• Support partners on risk reviews, audits, transfer pricing and advisory work.
• Review tax calculations and consolidated income tax returns.
• Review FBT returns.
• Provide tax updates and client communications.
• Coach and develop junior staff.
• Collaborate with internal teams on tax questions.

Approach Consulting is assisting a national firm looking for a Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join its Adelaide Tax Services team.

The role

You’ll lead engagements for South Australian mid-market clients across a mix of industries. You’ll work directly with the tax partners and be trusted to run your own client relationships, not just the compliance behind them.

Day to day, you’ll:

• Own client relationships and be the person they call first
• Support partners on ATO risk reviews and audits, transfer pricing, and general advisory work across a wide range of tax matters
• Review tax effect accounting calculations and consolidated income tax returns
• Review FBT returns
• Review quarterly tax updates and client communications
• Help deliver technical training across the division
• Advise other internal teams on tax questions
• Coach and develop junior staff

About you

• Accounting degree (or similar), and holding CA or CPA (or equivalent)
• Business Services or Advisory background
• Strong communicator, written and verbal
• A team player who builds relationships easily and holds a high professional standard
