Nearmap in Sydney is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to own global accounting for Technology, Engineering, Product and GCO divisions. You will partner with Global Business Partners to ensure accurate financial data, interpret IFRS standards, and mentor junior staff.

You will lead month‑end close, oversee reconciliations in FloQast, manage the Fixed Asset Register, and perform variance analysis. You will drive process improvements using Netsuite, FloQast and Concur and contribute to annual

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in accounting, business or commerce; CPA or CA qualification (or close to completion).
• 2–3 years’ experience in an accounting role, preferably in Tech/SaaS or Big 4/Tier 2 firm.
• Technical accounting skills with IFRS 15, multi‑currency accounting, intercompany transactions, transfer pricing or acquisition accounting viewed favourably.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel; experience with Netsuite and Concur.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close for global divisions, including accruals, and deliver to a strict month-end timetable.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations in FloQast and resolve reconciling items promptly.
• Maintain the Group’s consolidated Fixed Asset Register, including capitalisation, depreciation and disposals.
• Review divisional P&L results and provide variance analysis to support monthly sign-off.
• Review global vendor bills, purchase orders, credit card statements, and expense reports for accuracy and timeliness.
• Review lease agreements and maintain lease schedules in line with IFRS 16 and reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Review and lodge BAS, FBT, PAYG instalments, and payroll tax returns accurately and on time.
• Contribute to annual financial reporting and audit process, and support budgeting and forecasting with trend analysis.
• Participate in finance systems projects (Netsuite, FloQast, Concur) and drive process improvements and automation.
• Mentor and support the development of direct reports and junior team members.
