Job summary

Fulcrum Resources is seeking a commercially minded finance professional in Sydney to expand from core management accounting into FP&A and decision support. You will partner with marketing, logistics, and buying teams to optimize cash flow, inventory, and margins while leveraging modern tools to automate reporting.

The role offers exposure to interdepartmental analysis, ERP systems, and AI-enabled workflows, with a clear path to broaden analytical responsibilities within a growing retail business.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Commerce or Finance, CPA qualified or near completion.
• Experience in management accounting or commercial analysis within retail, FMCG, logistics, or stock-heavy environments.
• Interest or capability in FP&A, budgeting, and commercial modeling with strong accounting fundamentals.
• Strong spreadsheet skills and comfort with AI/automation to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Partner with marketing and operations to manage partner commission accruals and weekly cash flow.
• Serve as finance contact for major brand partners, handling reconciliations and regulatory reporting.
• Support FP&A and commercial decision-making with variance analysis on costs and logistics.
• Own inventory and margin analysis, including COGS, stock pricing issues, and cycle counts.
• Prepare quarterly stock provisions and intercompany stock reporting.
• Build and maintain weekly cash flow forecasts with the Financial Controller.
• Leverage Excel, Dynamics 365, and AI tools to automate processes and speed monthly reporting.
