Job summary

AltX Financial Group in Sydney is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll handle month-end processes, ensure accurate financial records and support decision-making through analysis.

You will own key tasks such as income recognition, journals, treasury and trust accounting, bank reconciliations, and intercompany activities, while collaborating with AltX Operations to drive efficient financial controls.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance with CA/CPA or equivalent certification.
• Experience in banking or non-bank lending.
• Strong accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Experience with MYOB Advanced and Excel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end processes including income recognition, journals, treasury and trust accounting.
• Manage bank, cash flow, general ledger, trust and intercompany reconciliations.
• Ensure investor repayments are processed accurately and on time.
• Analyse financial performance and identify cost and revenue opportunities.
• Partner with operational teams to support investment accounting and business decisions.
• Strengthen financial controls and improve processes for efficiency.
