Job summary

Automic Group is seeking a Manager, Finance Practice / Senior Accountant in Sydney to lead financial reporting for ASX entities and coordinate audits. The role involves IFRS/AASB compliant statements, month-end close, and board-level financial reporting.

You will work with accountants and secretaries across client projects, ensuring timely delivery of tax compliance and budgeting tasks. This position is based in Sydney and supports our growing advisory services.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing IFRS/AASB financial statements (annual and half-year reports).
• Ability to manage audits with external auditors to meet deadlines.
• Strong month-end close and P&L/cash flow analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial reporting compliance for ASX listed entities.
• Prepare IFRS/AASB compliant financial statements (annual and half-year).
• Coordinate audits with external auditors to meet ASX/ASIC deadlines.
• Prepare client month-end accounts with balance sheet reconciliations, P&L, and cash flow statements.
• Prepare Finance Reports for client Board meetings.
• Oversee payroll tax, FBT, BAS/GST obligations.
• Prepare and update budgets; oversee accounts payable and creditor processes.
• Assist with payments, term deposits, and banking requirements.
• Collaborate with accountants and company secretaries for client services.
