Hart Recruitment is partnering with a progressive, technologically-focused accounting firm in Mackay to recruit a Senior Accountant. You will act as the 2IC to the Director across a diverse SME client portfolio, managing relationships and delivering high-quality work with autonomy.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Accountant in public practice.
• Approximately 4+ years’ experience in public practice.
• CA/CPA qualified or studying.
• Strong technical understanding of SME matters.
• Demonstrated experience dealing with clients directly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solutions-oriented mindset and able to articulate information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of income tax returns for all entities and all other compliance requirements.
• Preparation and analysis of management reports.
• Work on tax issues including FBT, Div7A, CGT, GST, PSI, tax planning and structuring.
• Providing support to Director in relation to client management and project based work.

You’ll work with a diverse client portfolio spanning individuals, family groups and SMEs with the autonomy to manage relationships and deliver work your way. You’ll act as the 2IC to the Director across their portfolio, taking on client-facing role, allowing you to focus on client relationships, technical work and advisory opportunities.

Some responsibilities include:

• Preparation and review of income tax returns for all entities and all other compliance requirements

• Work on various tax issues including FBT, Div7A, CGT, GST, PSI, tax planning and structuring
• Providing support to Director in relation to client management and project based work.
