You will oversee a diverse client portfolio—from start-ups to international clients—with autonomy over relationships and advisory opportunities. Serve as 2IC to the MD, focusing on client-facing work and technical delivery.

You’ll work with a diverse client portfolio spanning start-ups, family groups and SMEs through to consolidated groups and international clients, with the autonomy to manage relationships and deliver work your way. You’ll act as the 2IC to the Managing Director across their portfolio, taking on a predominantly client-facing role with minimal staff management, allowing you to focus on client relationships, technical work and advisory opportunities.

• Finalising complex financial accounts
• Preparation and analysis of management reports
• Provision of tax advice on issues such as FBT, Div7A, CGT, GST, PSI, tax planning and structuring
• Providing support to Managing Director in relation to client management and project based work.

Applicants

• Experience working in a Manager or Supervisor capacity in Business Services/Tax
• Approximately 6+ years’ experience in public practice
• CA/CPA qualified
• Strong technical understanding of SME matters and able to advise on related issues
• Demonstrated experience managing own clients
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Solutions-oriented mindset and able to articulate information of varying complexities to stakeholders effectively
