Job summary

Fluent Commerce is seeking a Senior Accountant to own month‑end close, balance sheet integrity, and statutory reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions. You will work closely with the Financial Controller and advisers, supporting payroll in six countries and driving process improvements within a dynamic finance team.

The role requires CA or CPA qualification (or progress toward), 3+ years of accounting experience, and hands‑on experience with Xero.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification or progression toward
• 3+ years’ experience in accounting or finance
• Hands‑on month‑end close and balance sheet reconciliations
• Experience with Xero across multiple entities/currencies
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax and compliance
• Excellent attention to detail and data analysis
• Clear written/verbal communication across cultures/time zones
• Full right to work in Australia

Responsibilities

• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close activities across multiple entities.
• Review monthly results, explain variances, and provide insights to senior management.
• Support intercompany accounting, multi‑currency accounting and consolidation.
• Prepare ad‑hoc analyses for projects and strategic initiatives.
• Support payroll operations across six countries with external vendors.
• Review payroll reports and reconcile to GL monthly.
• Prepare payroll tax reconciliations including STP and super requirements.
• Assist with external audits and strengthen controls and governance.
