Job summary

Breadcrumb is seeking a diligent Accountant to manage the Australian and UK ledgers in Xero, handling AP/AR, reconciliations, and month-end close. You’ll contribute to scalable finance processes as the business grows.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll ensure data accuracy, timely reporting, and compliance across entities while supporting process improvements and ad hoc reporting for growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Strong hands-on experience with Xero.
• Experience with AP/AR and BAS lodgement.
• Solid month-end and reconciliations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledgers for Australian and UK entities in Xero.
• Manage end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Support month-end close activities including journals, accruals, and prepayments.
• Prepare and lodge BAS returns and manage GST reporting obligations.
• Coordinate payroll data inputs and reconciliations via Rippling.
• Assist with audit preparation and supporting documentation.
