Job summary

Internationalinsuranceprofessionals is seeking a Senior Accountant in Sydney to support the Financial Controller with month-end reporting and financial process improvements. You will manage key accounting activities, own the month-end close and contribute to continuous improvement across processes.

The ideal candidate is CA or CPA qualified with strong technical accounting, a proactive mindset and an interest in driving changes within the finance team.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification and strong technical accounting capability.
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end reporting.
• Interest in process improvement and system upgrades.
• Experience in tax compliance and audit support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage balance sheet reconciliations, P&L analysis and month-end commentary.
• Maintain fixed asset register and process journals.
• Prepare income tax requirements including BAS, FBT and tax returns.
• Support annual audit and financial statements process.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and controls.
• Support ERP implementation and drive change in the finance team.
