Job summary

Magri Group in North Perth is seeking an experienced Intermediate / Senior Accountant to join our boutique practice and deliver high-quality accounting, taxation and business services to our clients.

You will manage client work, prepare financial statements, tax returns and BAS, and support advisory matters while contributing to a collaborative team. The role offers flexible full- or part-time hours (minimum 30 hours/week) and ongoing development in a friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Accounting or Commerce.
• CA/CPA qualified or currently working towards qualification.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Australian public practice.
• Knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting requirements.
• Experience preparing financial statements, income tax returns and BAS.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Client-focused with strong relationship-building skills.
• Proactive attitude and collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
• Preparing BAS (Business Activity Statements).
• Managing and developing direct relationships with clients, professional advisers and bookkeepers.
• Assisting with taxation, compliance and advisory matters.
• Working closely with senior team members and Directors.
• Contributing to the improvement of internal systems and processes.
