You will manage client relationships, contribute to strategic tax planning, and support complex client projects across a diverse portfolio including high-net-worth individuals and growing businesses.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Business Services or Public Practice.
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax and accounting standards.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Proactive and commercially minded with Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

About the Role

An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Business Services team. This role offers a mix of compliance, advisory, and client-facing work, ideal for someone who wants to move beyond pure compliance into more strategic, value-added services. You will work closely with the Director and play a key role in managing client relationships and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

Tax & Compliance

• Preparation of Income Tax Returns and Business Activity Statements (BAS)
• Preparation of statutory financial statements and workpapers
• General ledger maintenance and reconciliations
• Assist with ATO audits and compliance matters
• Liaise with ATO and ASIC on behalf of clients

Advisory & Business Services

• Assist with tax planning for business and high-income clients
• Provide business structuring and tax advice
• Prepare management reports, budgets and cash flow forecasts
• Support high-net-worth clients and complex structures
• Contribute to consulting and special client projects

Client & Team Engagement

• Manage and maintain strong client relationships
• Work collaboratively with team members and the Director
• Identify proactive tax and business improvement opportunities
• Assist with client file management and internal processes

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in Business Services / Public Practice
• Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax and accounting standards
• Excellent communication and client management skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Proactive and commercially minded approach
• Valid Australian work rights (no sponsorship required)

Systems

• Xero, XPM and all similar accounting software
• FYI Elite and Documents
• BGL & CAS for Corporate Secretarial
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Products (Word, Excel skills etc)
• Experience in using automations and workflow tools
