Overview

Senior Accountant - Business Services & Advisory — Melbourne. This is an opportunity to join a leading top 10 national accounting and advisory firm with a reputation for empowering people and delivering practical solutions. Base pay range

A$95,000.00/yr - A$105,000.00/yr

The Role

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll work across both compliance and advisory, with exposure to a variety of clients and industries. You’ll be trusted to deliver high-quality work while building the commercial skills and client relationships that will set you up for long-term progression.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements in line with accounting and regulatory standards
• Prepare tax returns for companies, trusts and high-net-worth individuals
• Deliver management reporting, cash flow and forecasting services for clients
• Provide day-to-day business and tax advisory support
• Liaise directly with clients while working closely with Partners and Managers
• Mentor and support junior team members on compliance tasks

Qualifications

• 3-4 years’ business services experience in an Australian accounting practice
• Strong technical foundation in accounting and tax compliance
• Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
• Relationship-building skills with both clients and team members
• Experience with Xero (preferred but not essential)
