You will review tax returns and financial statements for individuals, companies, trusts and SMSFs, and collaborate with wealth advisers to deliver coordinated advice. A proactive, tech-enabled mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role within a public practice accounting firm.
• Strong technical knowledge of taxation and accounting for individuals, companies, trusts and SMSFs.
• Experience reviewing financial statements, tax returns and work prepared by others.
• Confidence managing client relationships and discussing financial matters in an accessible, commercially minded way.
• An interest in business advisory, wealth creation and helping clients make informed decisions.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the confidence to take ownership of responsibilities.
• A willingness to embrace technology, automation and new ways of working.
• A genuine desire to keep learning and grow with a business over the longer term.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing tax returns, financial statements and workpapers for individuals, companies, trusts and SMSFs.
• Managing client relationships and leading conversations around business performance, tax planning and financial objectives.
• Identifying opportunities for proactive tax and business advisory services.
• Collaborating with wealth advisers and mortgage brokers to support coordinated client outcomes.
• Reviewing work prepared by outsourced providers, ensuring accuracy, quality and timely delivery.
• Explaining complex tax and accounting matters in a clear, practical and approachable way.
• Developing a strong understanding of clients' business structures, investment strategies and long-term goals.
• Contributing ideas to improve systems, workflows and the overall client experience.
• Embracing technology and AI tools to improve efficiency and enhance the quality of advice delivered.
