Job summary

MW Recruitment in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to work closely with Partners and manage a growing client list from year end through ongoing advisory.

You will prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals, and handle tax planning conversations with clients.

This role offers hybrid working between the office in South Yarra and home, with CA/CPA support and direct access to Partners.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified, or nearing completion.
• Strong public practice experience as a Senior Accountant.
• Solid tax knowledge including trusts and Division 7A.
• Excellent client relationship management and communication.
• Organised with ability to review others' work and juggle deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage own client list from year end through ongoing advisory.
• Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
• Lead tax planning conversations and respond to technical queries.
• Review work from intermediates and graduates with constructive feedback.
• Manage lodgement calendar and ensure timely deliverables.
• Engage with ATO on client matters and spot advisory opportunities.
