Job summary

BDO in Melbourne is seeking an Experienced Senior Accountant to join our Business Services team. You will contribute to high‑quality compliance and advisory work across a diverse portfolio of clients, including SMEs, high net worth individuals, trusts, and investment entities, while developing technical capability and progressing within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional services or public practice environment.
• Strong interest in taxation, advisory and business services.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capability, with high attention to detail.
• Prior experience managing your own clients and supervising junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a range of financial statements in accordance with regulatory and reporting standards.
• Prepare income tax returns for companies, trusts and high net worth individuals.
• Support tax planning initiatives and advise on business operations and regulatory matters.
• Deliver business and tax advisory services such as structuring and growth advisory.
• Build strong relationships across the Business Services team and with clients.
• Mentor and support junior team members.
