Job summary

RSM Australia is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Business Advisory team in Melbourne. You will work closely with Managers and Partners to deliver business advisory and strategic outsourcing services to a diverse client portfolio across industries.

Role involves preparing financial statements, tax returns, management reports, and providing GST/CGT/FBT guidance. CA progression and strong communication are highly valued in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting/Commerce with accounting major.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in public practice accounting.
• CA qualification in progress or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with current standards.
• Prepare income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
• Analyse financial information and prepare management reports.
• Provide GST, CGT, FBT guidance and other tax matters.
• Assist with client meetings and documentation.
• Support business advisory and outsourcing services across diverse clients.
• Prepare workpapers and maintain client accounting files.
• Liaise with clients and build relationships.
