Exant Advisory in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team and support the preparation of financial statements, tax documentation, and related advisory work for diverse client groups.

You will work with a team of intermediate and senior accountants, leveraging Xero, CA/CPA qualifications, and strong communication to deliver accurate results. The role requires delegation, attention to detail, and a mindset geared toward leadership and client service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in Business Services within an Australian accounting firm.
• Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent.
• Completion of CA or CPA qualification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience delegating and reviewing junior staff work.
• Willingness to lead and learn.

Responsabilités

• Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, group tax summaries and loan summaries for corporate and family groups.
• Prepare payroll tax returns, FBT returns, and activity statements.
• Collaborate with intermediate and senior business services accountants; liaise with clients and external providers.

Who we’re looking for

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and motivated Senior Accountant to join our team.

About the role

• Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, group tax summary and loan summary for corporate and family groups including Trusts, Companies, Partnerships & Individuals
• Preparation of payroll tax returns, FBT returns, activity statements
• Working as part of a team where you will work closely with other intermediate and senior business services accountants
• Use Of Xero
• Liaising with clients and other external service providers

About you

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Business Services within an Australian accounting firm.
• Completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of CA or CPA qualification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in delegating and reviewing junior team member’s work.
• Willingness to lead and learn.

• Demonstrated administrative experience, preferably in a public practice environment
• Experience with Xero Practice Manager preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work
• Flexibility to perform different and varied tasks
• The ability to work under pressure and effectively manage time and prioritisation of tasks
• Motivated to work as part of a team in addition to completing individual regular tasks
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to consult with peers.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Suite.
