Job summary

RSM Australia is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Business Advisory team in Sydney's CBD. You will deliver tailored accounting, taxation and business advisory solutions for a diverse client portfolio while mentoring graduates and junior staff.

You will prepare financial statements, provide informed client guidance and support Partners in engagements. The role emphasizes collaboration, accuracy and continuous professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce with Accounting major.
• Pathway to completion of Chartered Tax Accountant or Certified Practising Accountant studies.
• Proficient with accounting software including Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Agrimaster, Figured, and CashPeek.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with Australian accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Develop an understanding of clients' businesses and industries to provide informed advice.
• Mentor and develop graduates and junior team members.
• Assist in preparing client meeting materials and support Partners in engagements.
• Identify, research and resolve complex accounting and taxation matters.
• Prepare and analyse management accounting reports for clients.
• Prepare income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
