Dexus is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the Funds Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with Sydney or Melbourne locations. You will deliver financial, management, investor and tax reporting for a portfolio of funds, reporting to the Financial Controller, and driving process improvement.

The role suits a finance professional who builds relationships, navigates stakeholder environments and ensures timely, accurate reporting with strong controls.

Formación

• CA or CPA qualification with a degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Experience preparing statutory financial reports in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS.
• Exposure to fund accounting, management reporting, investor reporting and tax compliance activities.

The Opportunity

An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Funds Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. We are accepting applications for either our Sydney or Melbourne location.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in delivering financial, management, investor and tax reporting obligations across a portfolio of listed and unlisted funds.

This role is ideal for a finance professional who can quickly build relationships, navigate complex stakeholder environments and ensure seamless delivery of critical reporting processes while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

You Will Make An Impact By

• Delivering critical financial and investor reporting across a portfolio of funds, ensuring statutory reporting, audit requirements and compliance obligations are completed accurately and on time.
• Supporting complex and bespoke Funds, applying strong attention to detail and sound judgement to manage unique fund structures, reporting requirements and governance obligations.
• Owning month-end accounting activities, including journals, reconciliations, accruals and financial analysis, ensuring strong financial controls and high-quality reporting outcomes.
• Partnering with Funds, Investments and Finance stakeholders to provide financial insights, resolve queries and support informed decision-making through proactive communication and collaboration.

About You

You are a technically strong and commercially minded accounting professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and delivering high-quality outcomes. You are comfortable working in a dynamic environment, take pride in your attention to detail and are motivated by finding smarter ways of working.

• CA or CPA qualification together with a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Experience preparing statutory financial reports in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS.
• Exposure to fund accounting, management reporting, investor reporting and tax compliance activities.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large and complex data sets.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• The ability to quickly adapt to new systems, stakeholders and processes while managing competing priorities.
• A collaborative and proactive approach, with strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
• An interest in leveraging AI tools to improve finance processes, combined with sound professional judgement and a strong understanding of governance, compliance and data privacy requirements.
