Job summary

Acclime is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Business Advisory team in Sydney. You will manage statutory and tax compliance across a diverse client portfolio, while developing junior staff and contributing to client success.

You’ll work with clients including family groups, SMEs and high net worth individuals, building trusted relationships and delivering high‑quality advisory input. Opportunities for growth are strong within a global firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in commerce/accounting.
• CA ANZ / CPA qualification or nearly qualified.
• 4+ years’ professional experience in tax and business advisory services handling complex client groups (family, SMEs, high net worth).
• Strong client relationship management capability.
• Excellent communication and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts and working papers.
• Prepare income tax returns, FBT returns.
• Prepare BAS/IAS and manage lodgement obligations.
• Support management accounting and reporting duties.
• Supervise junior staff and review work for accuracy.

What will you be doing?

• Preparation of statutory accounts, including all associated working papers and supporting documentation
• Preparation of income tax returns, fringe benefits tax returns
• Preparation of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
• Managing reporting obligations
• Management accounting
• Assisting with management of the tax lodgement program
• Supervise and support junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
• Review completed work with a sharp eye for detail

What are we looking for?

• A bachelor’s degree in commerce/accounting
• CA ANZ / CPA qualification or nearly qualified
• A minimum of 4 years’ professional experience in tax and business advisory services working with complex client groups including family groups, SMEs and high net wealth individuals
• Ability to manage strong client relationships
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
• High level of technical expertise
