Job summary

Newcastle Accounting Firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their well-established Newcastle team. You will manage your own client portfolio, work with a Partner, and provide tax planning, financial statement preparation, and advisory input.

The role emphasizes high-quality client service, mentoring junior staff, and close collaboration with senior leadership. A flexible schedule with on-site parking and potential WFH flexibility is offered.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified, or currently working towards it
• Solid experience as a Senior Accountant within public practice
• Strong technical tax knowledge with the confidence to apply it
• Comfortable reviewing and guiding junior staff
• Well organised with a professional, client-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns across multiple entities
• Tax planning and technical advice for clients
• Day to day management of client relationships
• Reviewing work completed by junior team members
• ATO liaison on behalf of clients
• Involvement in advisory conversations as they arise
