Charterhouse Bathurst is seeking a client-facing Senior Accountant to manage a portfolio of privately owned businesses, delivering accounting and taxation services while expanding into advisory work.

You will own client relationships, work with business owners, and mentor junior staff in a regional firm that emphasizes cloud-based systems, work-life balance, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ Australian public practice experience.
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and Business Services.
• Experience managing both compliance and client advisory work.
• Experience across companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs.
• CA/CPA qualification completed or in progress.
• Xero and cloud accounting experience.
• Strong client communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience reviewing or mentoring junior accountants.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• A genuine interest in Business Advisory and helping clients grow.
