This hands-on leadership role offers genuine ownership of sophisticated private client work, complex tax matters and opportunities for development within a boutique environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' Australian public practice experience
• CA or CPA qualification
• Strong Australian tax and accounting knowledge
• Experience managing high-net-worth individuals, family groups, companies and trusts
• Experience reviewing work and managing workflow across a team
• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring and developing staff
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong commercial judgement, organisational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family groups, companies and trusts
• Lead client meetings and communicate complex issues clearly
• Coordinate with external advisers where required
• Manage client expectations, deadlines and service delivery
• Oversee workflow, capacity planning and job allocation

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to take ownership of three critical areas across the firm:

• Client relationships
• Team leadership and development
• Technical quality and review

You will manage relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family groups and privately owned businesses, lead a team across Australia and offshore, and act as a senior technical resource for complex accounting and tax matters.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes initiative, drives outcomes and enjoys making a genuine impact on clients, people and firm performance.

Client Leadership

You will be the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of premium clients and become their trusted adviser.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family groups, companies and trusts
• Leading client meetings and communicating complex issues clearly
• Identifying tax, structuring and commercial opportunities and risks
• Coordinating with external advisers where required
• Managing client expectations, deadlines and service delivery

Strong communication and relationship management skills are essential.

Team Leadership

This is a genuine people management role with responsibility for leading and developing accounting staff across local and offshore teams.

You will:

• Oversee workflow, capacity planning and job allocation
• Monitor deadlines and resolve workflow bottlenecks
• Provide guidance, feedback and technical support
• Train, mentor and develop team members
• Foster collaboration between local and offshore staff
• Maintain accountability and high performance across the team

We are looking for a proactive leader who stays ahead of issues and helps others succeed.

Technical Oversight

You will play a key role in maintaining the firm's technical standards and reviewing complex work.

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and finalising financial statements and tax returns
• Reviewing work prepared by junior, intermediate and senior accountants
• Advising on complex tax and structuring matters
• Identifying risks, issues and opportunities
• Maintaining quality and consistency across the team
