Sharp & Carter is assisting a well established, fast-paced services business across Australia with a pivotal Brisbane-based finance role.

You will own the monthly reporting for multiple entities and supervise one junior team member, while collaborating closely with the CFO and operating teams to drive business partnering and improvements.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA designation or nearing completion.
• Proven experience in a medium to large business.

Responsabilités

• Own the month end reporting cycle for multiple entities.
• Oversee year end and liaise with auditors, BAS, GST, FBT etc.
• Identify and implement system and process improvements.
• Mentor and support one junior member on the team.
• Collaborate with CFO and operational teams on business partnering.

Our client is a well established, fast-paced services business operating across Australia. They have a highly regarded brand, putting their customers first at all times. The business has grown from strength to strength over recent years, is profitable and have an experienced leadership team.

The Role

Reporting into the CFO, you will be responsible for the monthly reporting for the various entities, whilst managing 1 junior team member.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the month end reporting cycle, includingjournals, accruals, recs etc
• Oversee the year end and relationship with the auditors, plus BAS, GST, FBT etc
• Help with any system & process improvements
• Mentor & support 1 junior member.
• Work closely with the CFO and help with the broader operational teams in a business partnering capacity.

About You:

• Qualified: CA or CPA designation (or nearing completion).
• Experienced: Proven track record within a medium sized business (or larger).
• Hands on attitude with a good attention to detail
• A pro active communicator who thrives working collaboratively across a business.
