Job summary

ENTAG Pty Ltd is seeking a Physical Security Technician in Brisbane to install, configure, and maintain security systems including CCTV, alarms and access control. The role requires reading schematics, troubleshooting, and delivering projects with minimal supervision.

Applicants should hold a Security Provider Licence (Class 2), Open Registered Cabler, White Card (Blue Card preferred), and EWPA certification. Open to applicants across SEQ with a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Licence and qualifications required for security system installation and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
• Experience in electronic/physical security systems installation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain security systems (video surveillance, alarms, access control, etc.)
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty security equipment
• Perform routine inspections and system testing
• Read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
• Provide technical support and training to clients or end-users
• Maintain records of maintenance and service activities
• Deliver projects independently and interact with clients, suppliers and contractors

About the Position

The Physical Security Technician is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair of security systems, including video surveillance, alarms, and access control systems. This role requires a high level of installation expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver projects independently while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

• White Card (and Blue Card or willing to get one)
• EWPA up to 11m
• Demonstrated experience working in a similar role within electronic/physical security systems installation and maintenance.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
