Job summary

Ventia is seeking a Security Solution Architect to lead design and governance of secure, integrated technology solutions across a complex environment. You will drive end-to-end security architecture from concept through implementation, across Azure, AWS, SAP, enterprise networks, and OT/IoT assets.

You will ensure security is embedded through the delivery lifecycle, provide governance across delivery teams and vendors, and align with Ventia’s security, resilience, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing secure, resilient enterprise solutions.
• Ability to translate requirements into practical, supportable architectures.
• Knowledge of OT/IoT, industrial control systems and connected asset security.
• Experience with identity and access management and Zero Trust.
• Understanding of Defence, DISP, ISM and SOCI/critical infrastructure requirements.
• Experience guiding architecture through full delivery lifecycle.

Job description

• Join one of the largest essential services providers across ANZ, supporting critical infrastructure and complex operational environments.
• Work across a diverse technology landscape spanning cloud, networks, cyber security, OT/IoT and connected assets.
• Hybrid working environment. Sydney or Melbourne preferred but flexible for the right person.
• 12 month fixed term contract.

About the role

As a Security Solution Architect, you’ll lead the design and governance of secure, resilient and integrated technology solutions across Ventia’s complex technology environment.

You’ll work across major projects, programs and work-winning initiatives, with responsibility for:

• Leading end-to-end security solution architecture from concept through to implementation and transition.
• Designing solutions across Azure, AWS, SAP, enterprise networks, identity, integration platforms, OT/IoT and connected assets.
• Conducting security architecture reviews and threat modelling, ensuring security is embedded through the delivery lifecycle.
• Providing architecture governance and assurance across delivery teams, vendors and systems integrators.
• Ensuring solutions meet Ventia’s security, compliance, resilience and operational requirements.
• Working closely with cyber, infrastructure, application and project teams to guide design decisions and resolve technical risks.

About you

You’ll bring strong security and solution architecture experience across complex enterprise environments, along with the ability to translate technical requirements into practical, supportable solutions.

• Strong experience across network and security architecture, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Knowledge of OT, IoT, industrial control systems and connected asset security.
• Experience with identity and access management, Zero Trust and secure connectivity.
• Understanding of Defence, DISP, ISM and SOCI/critical infrastructure requirements.
• Experience taking architecture through the full delivery lifecycle.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with security architecture reviews, threat modelling and secure-by-design principles.
