Job summary

Achmea Farm Insurance in Sydney is seeking a curious and proactive Security Analyst to join its IT Security and Governance team on a permanent, full-time basis.

Reporting to the Information Security Officer, you’ll support day-to-day security operations across incident response, vulnerability management, data protection, identity and access security, and security monitoring while collaborating with IT and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' experience in cybersecurity, IT operations or related technical role.
• Working knowledge across security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, identity security, endpoint protection and cloud security.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities with integrity and discretion.
• A proactive mindset and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security alerts, incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Support remediation activities and security improvements across the business.
• Assist with data protection, insider risk and security investigations, including documenting findings and handling evidence appropriately.
• Support identity, endpoint and cloud security controls.
• Manage security requests and activities through Jira Service Management.
• Assist with audits, control testing, and technology and supplier security assessments, including AI-enabled and emerging technologies.
• Prepare security reports, metrics and documentation.
• Contribute to security awareness and training initiatives.
