Responsibilities

• Manage site access, including visitor identification, permits and authorised entry.
• Welcome and assist visitors, students, staff, and contractors.
• Conduct regular internal and external patrols.
• Monitor locks, gates, alarms, CCTV and other security systems.
• Respond to security incidents, alarms and safety concerns.
• Assist school personnel and emergency services when required.
• Maintain accurate logs, access records, and incident reports.
• Liaise professionally with school staff, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Follow site security procedures and maintain a high standard of personal presentation.

The Role

We are seeking professional, polished and service-oriented Security Officers to join the team at a well-established private educational institution.

This role has a strong concierge-style focus, with you acting as a key point of contact for students, parents, visitors, staff and contractors. You will help maintain a safe, welcoming and well-managed school environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage site access, including visitor identification, permits and authorised entry

Welcome and assist visitors, students, staff, and contractors

Conduct regular internal and external patrols

Monitor locks, gates, alarms, CCTV and other security systems

Respond to security incidents, alarms and safety concerns

Assist school personnel and emergency services when required

Maintain accurate logs, access records, and incident reports

Liaise professionally with school staff, contractors and other stakeholders

Follow site security procedures and maintain a high standard of personal presentation

About You

Requirements of the position

Hold current Victorian Security licence

Hold current working with children check

Current First Aid certificate
