Job summary

MSS Security is seeking Full-Time Reliever Security Officers to join our team across Monash University campuses. You will patrol campuses, escort individuals, and ensure buildings are secured while assisting students, staff and visitors.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication and customer service, a high level of fitness, and a flexible approach to working across multiple campuses. Australian working rights, Victorian Security Licence, Driver Licence, and First Aid/CPR are preferred or

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• High fitness level with ability to walk 15–20 km daily.
• Flexible and adaptable across multiple campuses.
• Full Australian working rights and Victorian Security Licence requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct foot patrols to ensure campus safety and security.
• Escort individuals around campus as required.
• Ensure entry points are securely locked or unlocked.
• Provide directions to students, staff and visitors.
• Prepare incident reports documenting unusual activity.
• Communicate calmly with staff, students and visitors.

About the role:

MSS Security is seeking Full-Time Reliever Security Officers to join our team across Monash University campuses.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Conducting foot patrols, ensuring people are safe and buildings are secure.
• Escort individuals to and from various locations around the site as required.
• Ensuring property is locked and unlocked as required.
• Provide clear directions and assistance to students, staff and visitors to ensure they can navigate the campus efficiently.
• Write reports in response to incidents or unusual activity, ensuring all information is documented.
• Communicate calmly, clearly and effectively with staff, students, and visitors.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional presentation.
• A high level of fitness, with the ability to walk up to 15-20 km per day.
• A flexible and adaptable approach to working across multiple university campuses.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Valid Victorian Security Licence.
• Unrestricted Victorian Driver Licence.
• Valid Employee Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates, or willingness to obtain them.
