Job summary

Bendigo Bank is seeking a Security Innovation, Engineering and COE Lead/Technical Product Owner to shape our security technology future. You will guide experts in designing, building, and enhancing our core security infrastructure to protect assets and customers.

You will operate the COE, provide reusable patterns and services, and mentor a team of security professionals while reporting to senior leadership on security posture and innovation efforts.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a senior security role, with a proven track record in security architecture, engineering, and innovation.
• Deep technical expertise across cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), IAM, network security, DevSecOps, and data protection.
• Experience in Australian banking or financial services sector is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Shape and drive a strategic security roadmap for the bank's technology landscape.
• Oversee lifecycle of core enterprise security platforms with secure-by-design principles.
• Lead the Security Center of Excellence and develop shared security services.
• Mentor security teams and manage vendor and partner relationships.
