Job summary

MSS Security is seeking an experienced Control Room Operator for the University of Melbourne. The role involves monitoring surveillance systems, coordinating responses with security and emergency services, and managing access control and visitor procedures on a rotating 24/7 roster.

The ideal candidate holds a Victorian Security Licence with Control Room Endorsement, has at least two years in a control room, and possesses First Aid and CPR certification. WWCC is required or willing to obtain it.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security experience in a control room setting.
• Current Victorian Security Licence with Control Room Endorsement.
• Current valid First Aid Certificate and CPR.
• Availability to work a 24*7 rotating roster.
• Employee Working With Children’s Check or willing to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Monitor surveillance systems and manage incident responses.
• Coordinate communication between security personnel and emergency services.
• Oversee access control and visitor management.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents promptly.
• Handle daily phone inquiries.

About the role

MSS Security is seeking experienced Control Room Operators for the University of Melbourne. In this fast-paced role, you will monitor surveillance systems, manage incident responses, coordinate communication between security personnel and emergency services, oversee access control and visitor management, respond to emergencies, and handle daily phone inquiries.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of security experience in a control room setting and a valid control room license. Strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment are essential.
