Job summary

Nixil Pty in Australia is seeking an experienced Service Designer to support a Federal Government client, with offices in Sydney, Canberra and Adelaide. You will conduct user research, develop personas and journey maps, and collaborate with delivery teams to translate insights into actionable requirements.

Qualifications

• Active NV1, NV2 or TSPV security clearance required.
• Strong background in Service Design, UX and Human-Centred Design.
• Experience designing end-to-end digital services for complex environments.
• Proficiency with Figma, Miro and Visio or similar tools.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams.
• Knowledge of WCAG or accessibility standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, workshops and usability testing to understand user needs.
• Develop personas, journey maps and service blueprints to inform design.
• Translate research insights into actionable requirements and user stories.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, BAs, Architects and delivery teams to shape solutions.
• Ensure services meet accessibility requirements and digital standards.
• Support Agile delivery through Scrum, SAFe or Lean UX practices.
