Job summary

Johnson Controls Australia – VIC Install team seeks a Project Engineer - Security to design, implement and test control programming for security, access control, CCTV and BMCS systems. You will ensure alignment with customer specifications, quality standards, and project budgets while coordinating with clients and internal teams.

The role requires BIM/CAD design proficiency, 3–5 years’ experience, and knowledge of Metasys/JCIs products.

Qualifications

• Proven BIM and CAD design experience for security and mechanical systems.
• 3–5 years of engineering experience in relevant fields.
• Strong knowledge of Metasys and Johnson Controls/security products.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement control programming for Johnson Controls and third‑party products on new and existing installations.
• Ensure software testing meets customer specs and QA requirements.
• Develop graphical user interfaces for installations per Johnson Controls and customer standards.
• Provide solutions for complex systems problems and advise on modifications as needed.
• Lead and mentor junior technicians and apprentices; support safety initiatives and SHEMS compliance.
