Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a Building Management Systems (BMS/BMCS) or Controls Engineering role.
• Degree qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC controls, building automation systems, and associated technologies.
• Experience programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting BMS solutions.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and server environments.
• Previous experience delivering commercial building projects across installation, upgrades, and service environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• A collaborative mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality outcomes.
• Highly regarded experience within commercial HVAC environments.
• Exposure to digital building technologies, analytics, and smart building solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of project design documentation, including point lists, system schedules, equipment schedules, and technical drawings.
• Design, develop, and implement control strategies and software programming for Johnson Controls and third-party systems.
• Conduct software testing and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with customer requirements and quality standards.
• Design and develop graphical user interfaces for new and existing BMS installations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and software issues, providing technical expertise and guidance to customers and internal teams.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure successful delivery, scope management, and project profitability.
• Build strong customer relationships through proactive engagement and a deep understanding of operational and business requirements.
• Support the sales process by providing technical reviews, recommendations, and engineering expertise during bid and proposal stages.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers, technicians, and apprentices.
