Kinetic IT is seeking a Security Analyst embedded onsite with a Federal Government customer to safeguard critical technology services.

You will monitor infrastructure security, assess risks, support incident response, and contribute to ongoing security posture improvements.

The role requires NV1/NV2 clearance, strong collaboration with technical teams, and the ability to work onsite.

Qualifications

• Active AGSVA Security Clearance (NV1 or NV2) is required.
• Broad knowledge of infrastructure security across server, network and endpoint environments.
• Experience identifying security risks, vulnerabilities and remediation actions.
• Understanding of security monitoring, incident response, and maintenance of security controls.
• Knowledge of the Australian Government ISM and PSPF is preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work onsite within a Federal Government customer environment.

As a Security Analyst embedded onsite within one of Kinetic IT's Federal Government customer environments, you'll help protect critical technology services across server, network, endpoint and broader infrastructure environments. Working as part of a collaborative technical team, you'll assess security risks, support the implementation of security controls and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the customer's security posture.

Your focus will include monitoring and analysing infrastructure security, identifying vulnerabilities and control gaps, supporting incident response activities and working with technical teams to strengthen security practices. You'll apply your knowledge across server, network and endpoint environments while supporting compliance with relevant Australian Government security frameworks and customer requirements.

What we’re looking for

• Must hold an active AGSVA Security Clearance (NV1 or NV2)
• Broad knowledge of infrastructure security across server, network and endpoint environments
• Experience identifying security risks, vulnerabilities and control gaps, with the ability to recommend practical remediation actions
• Understanding of security monitoring, incident response and the implementation and maintenance of security controls
• Knowledge of the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM) and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) is preferred
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and customer representatives
• Ability to work onsite within a Federal Government customer environment
