Job summary

Client 1 in Canberra is seeking a Storage Systems Administrator to support a highly secure Defence environment. You will oversee enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery platforms, ensuring security, availability, and optimal performance across projects and BAU operations.

You will collaborate with technical teams to implement storage installations, patches, upgrades, and testing, develop operational procedures and reports, and engage stakeholders on new capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience managing enterprise storage, backup, and DR environments.
• Strong knowledge of storage performance monitoring and capacity planning.
• Experience planning upgrades and maintenance windows.
• Ability to create operational procedures and technical reports.
• Experience in secure Defence or Government environments is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide storage, backup, and DR support across environments.
• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and test ICT infrastructure and virtualisation platforms.
• Create QA activities for design and documentation.
• Engage stakeholders on new technology capabilities.
• Maintain enterprise storage platforms, including vendor engagement.
• Contribute to data protection strategies.
• Deliver knowledge transfer across the team.
• Undertake BAU support activities as required.
