Job summary

Showtime Consulting is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support secure enterprise infrastructure platforms within Defence and government environments. You will design, implement, operate and optimise on-premises and cloud infrastructure across virtualisation, servers, storage, Windows and Linux, networking, containerisation and AI infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Hands-on infrastructure engineering across enterprise environments.
• Experience with VMware and Hyper-V virtualisation platforms.
• Experience managing Windows Server and Linux administration (RHEL/SUSE).
• Experience delivering infrastructure in secure Defence/government environments.
• Exposure to Kubernetes/containers and cloud platforms is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, configure, and maintain secure on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Engineer and support VMware and Microsoft Hyper‑V virtualisation environments.
• Configure and maintain Dell server, storage, and SAN infrastructure.
• Administer Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and SUSE Linux environments.
• Support enterprise networking including switching, routing, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and segmentation.
• Build and support containerised platforms and related infrastructure services.
• Implement infrastructure hardening, patching, monitoring, and vulnerability remediation.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, OS, network, storage, and performance issues.
• Contribute to automation, configuration management, and platform improvement initiatives.
