Job summary

DeployPartners Pty Ltd. is seeking multiple Data Centre Systems Engineers for hands-on roles supporting secure infrastructure across government and enterprise clients. The positions require NV1/NV2 clearance and deep experience with Windows, Linux, VMware, networking, and security firewalls, with a focus on automation and incident response.

Qualifications

• NV1 or NV2 clearance (mandatory – no exceptions).
• 5+ years’ experience in data centre systems administration and infrastructure engineering.
• Strong expertise with Windows Server and Linux distributions (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
• Experience with VMware ESXi/vSphere, networking, and firewall administration (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, CheckPoint).
• Automation and integration tools: Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), GitHub, ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with Algosec (desirable).
• Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Experience in secure government/defence environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Windows and Linux server infrastructure in secure environments.
• Operate VMware virtualisation platforms in large-scale data centre environments.
• Configure and maintain network routing, switching, and load balancing.
• Implement, operate, and maintain firewall platforms and security devices.
• Support automation initiatives using Ansible, GitHub, and ServiceNow integration.
• Provide Algosec firewall policy analysis and optimisation where applicable.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet security, performance, and availability requirements.
• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Document designs, configurations, and operational processes for knowledge transfer and audits.
