Job summary

Informatech Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Linux Technician to join a Defence-sector program delivering secure ICT systems across onshore and deployed environments. The role can be contract or permanent.

You will build, implement and maintain Linux-based systems in a high-security setting, with hands-on work on Ansible, RHEL, ELK and automation. NV2 clearance and Canberra or Sydney base are required.

Qualifications

• NV2 security clearance required.
• Experience with Linux servers in virtualised environments.
• Knowledge of Linux hardening and Defence policy compliance.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible, GitLab, YUM, RHEL 7.x–9.x and the ELK stack.

Responsibilities

• Support the build, implementation and maintenance of Linux-based systems in a high-security environment.
• Support ICT system development and deployment across deployed and onshore locations.
• Provide technical expertise on Linux systems, security and monitoring tools.
• Carry out software development and scripting tasks as needed.
• Create and peer review SOPs, build guides and related documentation.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and tools.
