Job summary

Paxus - Technology + Digital Talent in Australia is seeking an experienced Platform Infrastructure Engineer with a strong security mindset to join a major government digital transformation program. You will design and evolve a modern platform engineering capability to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions.

You will work with AWS, Terraform and DevSecOps tooling to automate CI/CD pipelines, implement secure-by-default infrastructure and collaborate with Platform, DevSecOps and Engineering

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS infrastructure and Terraform modules.
• Hands-on CI/CD pipelines implementation and automation.
• Strong security mindset and cloud security controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and enhance AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Develop reusable platform modules, standards and secure infrastructure patterns.
• Work closely with Platform, DevSecOps and Engineering teams to improve automation, CI/CD pipelines and developer experience.
• Implement secure-by-default infrastructure, cloud security guardrails and IAM best practices.
• Support infrastructure across multiple environments, including development, test, QA and production.
• Improve platform reliability, consistency and operational excellence through automation.
• Contribute to technical documentation, standards and platform best practices.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders in a complex enterprise environment.
