Job summary

MPAU Technology in Australia is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to secure and enhance a multi-account AWS environment and drive DevSecOps and security best practices across engineering teams.

The role focuses on hands-on AWS security, automation, and secure software-defined, autonomous-ready transport solutions. You will own security services, implement IaC, and collaborate with engineers to embed security into the SDLC while supporting innovative mobility platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Security, Cyber Security, Cloud Engineering, or related field.
• Strong hands-on AWS security experience, including IAM, Security Hub, GuardDuty, WAF, Cognito, Identity Center, and AWS Organizations.
• Experience securing multi-account AWS environments.
• Knowledge of security best practices, governance, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally CloudFormation or AWS SAM.
• Understanding of DevSecOps principles and CI/CD security integration.
• Familiarity with Python, Golang, or Rust is advantageous.
• AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, or similar certifications are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across multi-account AWS environments.
• Own and manage AWS security services including Security Hub, GuardDuty, IAM, Identity Center, WAF, Cognito, Inspector, and SCPs.
• Conduct security assessments, threat modelling, and vulnerability management activities.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to embed security into the SDLC.
• Integrate security testing and controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and maintain security controls using Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation and/or AWS SAM).
• Support incident response, investigations, and remediation activities.
• Continuously improve cloud security posture and security monitoring capabilities.
